Solar Oven Workshop

 | Post date: 2023/08/22 |

Considering the environmental pollution caused by the conversion of fossil fuels into the energy needed by mankind, as well as the depletion of the earth's hydrocarbon resources, and on the other hand, the need for sustainable energy security, there is an urgent need for alternative sources. The sun is the main source of energy on earth.

In this workshop, researchers from the industry and the university gather to discuss the applications and solutions for building solar furnaces in Iran and the challenges facing it.

A solar oven is a large turnip dish and can focus the light shining on it in a focal area. This high-intensity heat can have many uses, including hydrogen production and energy supply for thermo-chemical reactions. Another goal of this workshop is to find institutions and industries interested in using solar furnaces.
